Style of play

Nani often invited comparison in his playing style and his ability with club and international teammate Cristiano Ronaldo during his early stage of his careeer at manchester united, for whom he often deputised at club level when Ronaldo was still in Manchester united.
In the absence of Ronaldo's however, Nani's style developed into a more classic winger's style,who is  able to play on both left and right wings although more comfortable on the right, utilises space and  pace, ball control and lots of trickery to create goals. He is more than capable of cutting off on both wings to take a strike at goal from distance and nearby, He has substantially few goals, yet a  He can also play in the more attacking positions of a forward or as a conventional wing forward. which suits MUFC traditional style of playing with Natural wingers.

Celebration

Nani celebrates with what is called "mortal" ("also Leap of death"), similar to the goal celebrations of Obafemi Martins and congolese LuaLua.

For a while, United Former manager  , Sir Alex Ferguson, banned Nani's celebration due to fear of his safety ^{to avoid Injuries}
 Nani denounced such reports in Aug 2007, saying  it was "not true" and that Ferguson never spoke to him about such and that he is going to continue to celebrate his goals in that manner.
