Juan Mata García

born 28th April 1988, commonly called Juan Mata, a Spanish footballer who plays for Chelsea in the

English Premier League. Primarily plays as an attacking midfielder and can also function as a winger.

Mata is  a graduate of the Real Madrid's youth academy, played at Real Madrid Castilla for the 2006/07 season, where he finished as the side's second top scorer with 10 goals. At the beginning of  2007/08 season, Mata signed for fellow La Liga side Valencia CF via a contractual clause at Real Madrid. and was voted the team's Best Young Player, at the end of that season.

Moved to chelsea in 2011, after a successful spell at Vlencia

Ended his first season at Stamford Bridge with 573 passes, created 66 chances and completed 61 successful crosses, which contributed to Chelsea's double-cup winning season. He finished that Premier League season with 13 assists — second highest in the epl after Manchester City's David Silva, and with six goals.
